Clamshells

Clamshells

Whoever invented the clamshell
Should in a sulfuric environment forever dwell
These are not the Clams of chowder fame
But rather packaging gone insane
Stab them, cut them or beat them with a hammer
Assault them in any violent manner
Still they resist your intervention
As if they anticipate your every intention
So in the spirit of the punishment fit the crime
Don't buy anything in a clamshell
No matter how trendy or fine
Then the makers will have to recall the goods they cannot sell
And spend an eternity removing them from the shell

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
