Cruising

Cruising

When I was young and
Someone said cruising
I thought to myself,
Thats for old folks
Who like lots of snoozing
I wanted adventure, excitement, and danger
Perhaps a lea-son with a perfect stranger
But now in the twilight of my life
I want to avoid
Any hint of strife
So now I search for great cruising deals
Where they pamper you
With huge gourmet meals
And the only strangers you're liable to meet
Is the couple from Mineola
Near your dining room seat

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
