Dentists

Why do Dentists like to talk
When your mouth is full
And all you can do is squark
Do they really give a hoot
If all you can do is toot
Do they cease or fumble
If all you can do is mumble
They say its to distract you
It certainly doesn't attract you
My guess is that these Dentists
Are mostly boring
And their conversations inspire snoring
So the next time your Dentist
Tells you a zinger
Make no effort to reply
Just close your eyes
Take a deep sigh
And bite him on the finger

Great advice! Lol! You've managed to take a mundane topic and turn it into something amusing. Many poets attempt that and do not have the same measure of success that you've achieved here. Good job!

A perfect description of the oral atrocities that take place in the dentists chair. Write on.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
