Pills

When did we start to think
That for every ill there is a pill?
Have a chill take a pill
Want a thrill take a pill
Can't climb the hill take a pill
Can't bare the drill take a pill
For diarrhea,pyorrhea,or gonorrhea
Take a pill
Pills have become like magic
Especially when we see life as tragic
If you are too fat and exercise would fit the bill
Why work so hard, just take a pill
Although pills often have a checkered history
And whether they all work is still a mystery
There is one place where pills are always fine
When it comes to the drug company's
Bottom line

As someone who is stuck having to ingest a practical pharmacy every morning, I have to say this gave me a much needed laugh. I know that I for one am ensuring the drug companies have their best year yet! (at my expense) Must go now, time for my meds...

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
