    Doing Without
    I said I would move on.
    How do I do that?
    I can't seem to let go,
    these feelings control me.
    Hatred for his new girl,
    bubbles deep inside.
    Love for him kills me slowly,
    as my dreams crumble.
    All I have left is my pride.
    I will not show I love him,
    my life would just get harder.
    Without him I can't sleep,
    my thoughts refuse to stop.
    Tears fall without permission,
    they surprise the world.
    Hunger has deserted me,
    food tastes like ash.
    Life has lost all purpose,
    love has lost its luster.
