ELEGY TO OLUFUNKE
ELEGY TO OLUFUNKE
Stars were peering as the moon frowned
Climate was naught for the night to melt
But cloud ceased to uncover the sky
The trees of forest show sober reflections
As the vegetable were very sick at market
These were painful to the stars above
While the moon shield tears profoundly
As we passed through this worthless thought
Our chick are full of running tears
As death minus you from the journey of life
This made the cocks refused to crowing
And the lullaby were denied by the birds
While their tintinnabulation turned sour
The clouds were very unfriendly
As the sun refused to be bright at all
Farming became unrelated to the farmers
Day was dark as stars failed to shine
We cried till our hormones were dried
Could you imagine how painful it had been
When aged mother buried first of her three children
Adieu OLUFUNKE as you laid to rest
Can you see love really hurts
Perfectly rest in the bosom of the Almighty
To live as angel, your daily life in heaven
Extend protection towards your children
