    For A Moment

    For a moment
    I had it all
I held in my arms total perfection
    the queen of my heart
    the object of my affection

    For a moment
my happiness had reached its peak
    knowing in my arms
was everything to make my life complete
    Unfortunately for me
I had to let go, you weren't mine to keep
now I'm left wishing there was a way
    for me to show
    for you to see
what it really took to set you free

As it seems, you may never know
what you truly mean to me
& now that I think about it
I guess I can consider myself lucky
    lucky knowing that...

    For a moment
    I had it all
When I held you in my arms...

that is beautiful. i can feel ur emotion through ur words. the ending was fantastic. it tied into the begining and let the reader know ur true feeling. I know what it feels like to lose someone. This poem shows exactly what it is like.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
