I wish I could go back in time
When I had my little secret…
Of how bad I wanted you to be mine
  when I adored you silently
Things were better, we talked & we laughed
I should have just kept it all inside of me
It was my secret to keep
Because instead of bringing you closer
Reality is...now we barely even speak,
I should have never said the things I did
Some how things got a little twisted

You say things are okay, that you’re not upset
But the look in your eye tells me differently
There’s been many times when I looked deep into yours
Besides seeing a completely beautiful sight
I could tell whether you had a good or bad night

So with that being said…
I’m hoping that maybe I was mislead
Maybe it’s all in my mind
