    In Your Eyes

    There’s something in your eyes

    But what can it be
    Whatever it is
    It can illuminate
    Even my darkest skies

    There’s something in your eyes
    But what can it be
I was hoping to see my reflection
But yet, it seems I haven’t
    Earned that much attention

    There’s something in your eyes,
    But what can it be,
    God I’d give anything
    If only it were me

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
