Re: We 21st Century Poets!I'm wondering what kind of show it would be to involve poets. It's not like we do anything strange or exciting. Nothing TV worthy, I would think. |

Re: We 21st Century Poets!Word, I think it's a great idea. Poetry seems to be a dying art and if there is a place to spotlight poets on the history channel, that would be incredible. The 21st Century Poets. |

Nothing TV worthy, I would think. Am I wrong? A better idea, I am thinking is to locate a site. probably the same site WordSlinger is proposing , where we could read or vocalize our poetry-- some sort of site lke what the musicains / entertainers have , like "Jango" or "Alighthouse" for example. Re: Re: We 21st Century Poets!Quote: John, you mystfy me! I'm thinking of several menings of "to bawg the dogs? " To bag the dogs." This used to be a method ,in old Jamaica, to take pigs and dogs from rural country to a town market. The animals were put in crocus bags and taken on trucks or train ,along with rural farmers and higglers to town. ............lol In fact, you could not transport your dog nor pig on the train or bus or truck, unless you put the animal in a bag.........lol. I had an uncle, a RAF ex-serviceman, who delighted in silencing or subduing barking dogs,by barking and rushing at them/! ................lol. He once bit a dog that attacked him!............lol. Of course, the dog also bit him, and ran! ..........lol. No, he wasn't crazy. Just mischievous and drunk , most of the time..................lol. The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.
