The Bible states that there is a time for everything under the sun, a time to laugh, a time to cry, a time to scatter stones, a time to gather stones together. Time moves inexoribly, just as time, each moment, has a place for us, a meaning, if we can decipher that meaning, that time table. God is our guide for us to know the appropriate time for all things, when to laugh, when to marry, when to die and live forever. We just have to listen, carefully.
Let us pray we listen.

CONGRATULATIONS, REV. GRITO, SIR,

"MASTER, IT IS GOOD FOR US TO BE HERE, LET US BUILD THREE TABERNACLES (Mark 9:5)

On a serious note, Grito, this is a fine explanation of the concept of the passing of time. I had planned to write a metaphysical explanation of what you meant. Thanks, I now don't have to.

Re: We 21st Century Poets!

When I gaze into the night skies
And see the work of Your fingers;
The moon and stars suspended in space.
Oh what is man that You are mindful of him?

You have given man a crown of glory and honor,
And have made him a little lower than the angels.
You have put him in charge of all creation:
The beasts of the field,
The birds of the air,
The fish of the sea.
But what is man, oh, what is man that You are mindful of him?

O Lord, our God, the majesty and glory of Your name
Transcends the earth and fills the heavens.
O Lord, our God, little children praise You perfectly,
And so would we and so would we.

Tom Fettke (Psalm 8)

Cousin, when we search for meaning....all that man needs is to look and see what He (God the Father) has created.

And He is good, all the time.

Peace and love,

Faith

Faith, Thanks,
I believe! I believe! May God help my unbelief! I am always searching for meaning. Keep the faith! What else is there to believe sublimely?

Ah, gogant,
May the world remember what day of the week for many more days to come. May the world always have time to share. May the world never continue to be endangered like WILD RIVER. May the world always have fun. =====

Re: We 21st Century Poets!

Thank you for singing happy birthday to me Cousin, I appreciate your effort. Please excuse my oversight as I am inviting everyone here to a celebrate my BD here with unlimited Dom Perignon champagne and caviar (carbonated cider and vegetables as an option) in your choice of crystal or 24 carat gold long stemmed glasses, because I spare no expense for my friends! The Metropolitan Orchestra of New York will be taking requests and we will luxuriate in the view from the top of the Empire State building. Billie Holiday will help me blow out the 60 candles in this, my sixth, decade. Everyone will board the space shuttle to enjoy angel food cake and Kalua licor on a red beach on Mars so we can watch Earth's morning rise on the horizon while the moon hugs her to the sweet and sour melodies of Carlos Gardel singing tango songs.

After the festivities we will parachute down to Earth like angels with wings with the help of Saint Michael accompanied by a shower of white eagle feathers and a lyre of compassion, and we will all live happy and forever in the land of the midnight sun.

Well, maybe not Mars...Venus may be better.

Re: We 21st Century Poets!

By the way Cousin, I have copied your:

A wit was asked what day of the week it was.
He replied, "Today is the day after yesterday,
And the day before tomorrow,
But why ask? You are already in it!"
He was asked, "Can you give me the time?"
Said he , 'That I can't give, I have need of it."

I may have need of it.

Re: We 21st Century Poets!

O, Faithwalk, I think one of the poets here is pining for you, at least poetically, maybe you could find a way to cheer him up, poetically.

Re: We 21st Century Poets!

Thanks DancingHawk. And you're right I was looking forward to it.
May I add that y'all crack me up?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
