    I Am Allowed
    I am allowed to feel angry
    At the perceived and actual wrongs in my life

    I am allowed to reject food I don't like
    Despite how many starving children would love to have it

    I am allowed to wallow in self-pity
    Even though it does me no good

    I am allowed to cry for no reason
    Even when I have no reason to be sad

    I am allowed to be happy
    When the whole world goes to hell

    I am allowed to be ignorant to the problems of others
    Even though it makes me look selfish

    I am allowed to feel my feelings
    Without being made to feel guilty for them
