Im sorry (revised)

Im sorry

You didn't want me to be here
but you know that was the best things for me
As I curse you and the ground that you walk on
you gently cry "I'm sorry."
Those words don't even faze me
when I saw your tears
I laughed and scoffed
"I'll show you something to cry about."

As I remember tears comes to my eyes
how could have I been so mean
so heartless
I never realized the pain that I was causing you
I'm so sorry
for the destruction that came to this family because of me.
I wouldn't change going through treatment
but I wish every day
every moment
that I could change the events that lead up to that

I

I was so heartless.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
