    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this about a year ago I believe. One of my ex's had a girlfriend whom he was pretty much OBSESSED with. Then he brings me to come see him and visit for a week, and spends the whole time talking to or about her. Yeah, talk about a LOW BLOW. I understand that he's in the navy and misses her and hasn't seen her in a while, but damn... oh well, I've now found MY one and only :)

    Letting Go

     My heart still holds onto you
    It still aches to be with you
    But you have found her
    And I have no other...

    I know I need to let go
    But I just can't seem to
    My heart and mind ache for you
    They yearn to be with you

    They say it's when you stop looking
    That you find that right person
    Well if that is so true
    Why haven't I found him?

    I need to feel love
    Not this jealousy
    I need to feel wanted
    Not this insigifigance...

    I guess it's time to let go
    Move on to the next step.
    I hope you have a good life
    With the girl I could never be...
