Stand My Ground

Poem Commentary

it's exactly what it is: a poem about my son's so-called "dad" yeah, he has only seen him 9 or 10 times since he was born (And my son's TWO now) yeah, some FATHER you are, huh.

Stand My Ground

You can call me all the names you want
You are not going to change my mind
You had your chance but blew it
You will never see your son again.

All you do is make up lies
That everyone knows aren't true
So give up your childish game
Because you will NEVER win.

I'm going to stand my ground
This is a matter of MY son!
You can say what you want,
but you won't have my son doing it.

I'm a better father to him
Than you fucking are...
You were never around,
it wasn't MY fucking doing!

YOU were the one who ran away
YOU are the one spreading the lies
YOU are the one who is too lazy
YOU are the one who don't do shit for him...

So go on with your life
You don't have to see me again
And you won't see your son again
I'm getting the fuck out of here
I'm starting over, fresh
I'm starting over WITHOUT YOU!
