Loneliness
Loneliness is all she left me, one thing Ill never be without,
Even though I’ve got someone by my side.
They come and go with the seasons and they ride out on the wind,
But they somehow see the pain I feel and heartache I try to hide.
No she wont be back my-way, she’s hit the open high-way,
and its sad to say she wont be back my way no more.
Happy days I have known em and sad ones more than I care to count,
They all get tangled in my cloudy mind.
I can’t start to count em, all the different shades of blue I feel
But they’re getting darker all the time.
I wish something would replace em cause my memories a- waistin
On things that only time can patch or heal.
Time sure needs to slow down, cause the years are passing to fast, and I still have a lot of pain to end from the heartache that I feel.
Even hearing old songs hurt me, just like the day she left me
When she said she didn’t love me any more.
Though I will soon recover, all the things she took that I lost
I still may never find the key to open up my closed hearts door.
Loneliness is all she left me, the one thing Ill never be without,
Even though I’ve got someone by my side.
They come and go with the seasons, and they ride out on the wind,
But they somehow see the pain I feel and heartache I try to hide.
