The Game

The Game

I’ve been around the world even down a road that goes uphill both ways.

And I’ve been down more times than I’ve been up still waitin on better days

I sure wish those better days would come on soon and I hope their not all gone

Cause I can’t fold this hand I’ve got no I’ve played these cards to long

Ya know I’m Tired of playing loosing hands in a game that has no end

And I’m Tired of playing by the rules the ones that never bend

I’m all to Tired of be bluffed and bullied yea tired of all the crap

And I’m Tired of playing this same game, but I’m stuck here in this trap

They say every dog has his day but yea some dogs they have two.

And they say every man is dealt a hand to play but some don’t play it through

You know It would sure be sad to fold a hand that given some time would win

So just lay your cards there on the table friend and we’ll play em to the end

Cause You know It ain’t over till it’s over and then its said some fat bitch sings

But the one good thing about tomorrow is, you just don’t know what it brings

Yea The good N the bad, there all mixed up, just shuffle those cards real well

Cause You never know what kinda hand you’ll get, there’s no way to tell

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
