    Lonely Contentedness

I sit apon boats of white oak
    In imaginary likeness
    rowing unto...unto on
    Of places that remain unknown

    Carved names inside the walls
    Of caves, far from civilization
    Longing for a conversation
That would end without a word

A smile which no one else sees
    Lost, with no direction
But if self knows, than it will be all right
I will stay in my place.

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
