    Run Away

     Running, sprinting, trying,
    Into the vast darkness that surrounds me
    Falling, tripping, crying
    'Nobody will ever save me'

    Rising, sighing, standing
    Facing the menacing night
    Determined, knowing, landing
    My place, forever known with solemn sight

    Running, sprinting, smiling
    With a grin of knowing action
    And, yes, I am defying
    The person in which I am

    Shrugging, slowing, stopping
    Bored of forever running
    But, am I really stopping
    When my heart is with the might?

    oh I LOVE this! BlackButterfly has given me the right word. This is the cycle of struggling with yourself, and for me personally, to change into the person I want to be. If only it would stop in third phase. if only we never grew bored or weary from running.

    There's a familiar struggle displayed in all of your poems. It seems like a battle between darkness and light, hope and giving up. Choose and be confident in your choice. Once you do that I think you will recognize that the difference between the two isn't as difficult as you think. Everything starts with a thought. From there it's up to you.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
