    Lost in a Moment

What was i thinking when i looked your way
Our eye catching in a momentary gaze
a moment that seemed to carry on for days
my heart fluttered then stopped and fell to the floor
not having possession of my heart once more
my soul was struck to the depths of my core
but in a moment in time saperated by rain
our glances interrupted by the passing of a train
my soul left reeling and riddled  with pain
the train passed by and you were not there
my dreams still intact and no worse for the ware
So i searched for my heart to find it nowhere
unknowingly you took what wasn't mine to hold
it had be sought and paid for, and not to be sold
it belongs to another who shares in my load
I hope it means nothing and there's nothing to forgive
but for a moment in time i could so easily give
a life so worth living for a moment to live

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
