You are my son because i chose you

    If you stand alone
    to whom will you unite
    a shadow may be
    your only friend
    but he will leave
    by dark of night
    he may show his face
    by dawn of morning
    or  be clouded from
    your line of sight

    If you stand alone
    no lines of communication
    no relationships to
    develope or build
    nothing concrete to
    firm the foundation
    standing unstable on
    broken ground
    getting no support
    alone with your reservation

but if you take my hand
    you will no longer
    walk life alone
    you are my son
    because i chose you
    there's distance
    but im not gown
    i will guide you through
    your darkest day
    and guard your heart
    until you come home.
