The News Today
Gone astray, I can't believe the news todayA man was shot on a downtown street
while the cops were in coffee shops away from their beats.
A little girl was raped before she could speak any words,
an oilspill kills millions of birds.
Found by her husband in another mans bed,
A woman died from a shot to her head.
Drugs are a killer, thats plain to see.
Abortions takes lives of those that could be.
A young child stands by a street light $20 or something
and there yours for a night.
AIDS has no favorites. It's claimed another,
tonight... a newborn baby's mother.
Nights are not safe for walks in the park.
The moon shines bright, but thieves hide in the dark.
I didn't want to take in these words that were said,
but what choice do I have when this insanity is breed.
