My Prayer

My Prayer

If I should die afore I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take

If this is my last wish to pray

I wish for you to see another day.

If my heart stops upon this night

Laying here before the velvet sky

I wish you live your life and try

Whatever it takes to lift you up and fly

If this seems unfair to you at all

Want to see wind blow through your hair

The most unbearable is not to see you

But I’m watching over you, who wouldn’t care

And I shall wait by the Pearly Gates

Even if it opens here I shall wait

Until I see you upon your way

I won’t go without you, even if I’m late

Take your time, for your still meant to live

And all our dreams have finally come true

Here in your arms is the place I’m alive

Hand in hand, now we can leave this place
