    Sky

Sitting in a bowl staring at a navy velvet heaven

Praying for heaven's tears. Recalling a faint distant navy rain that never touched my skin yet brought sun kissed orange petals to my door. My heart was moved and surprised by their arrival. Petals with such beauty and fragrance that they will never die but only continue to live on and share their beauty with my world.

Oh how I wish it would rain. A renewing and awaking summer rain.

    What could it bring?

We share this serene heaven yet worlds apart and the mind wonders how does this velvet cloak find you.

Into the vastness do you pondering the state of my being or has slumber and life over taken you?

How does this peaceful dark cover find your world?

Your world so open and exposed, yet so tightly closed off and protected. The clear glass strongbox. Your world the other world, the other place. Your world that place of such mystery I too am protected from. In and out simultaneously.

This night will bring about a morning grey the navy will wash away and what will come is the beauty of the day.

Just sitting in a bowl looking out... for you

I read all your poems. I enjoyed them because you write with deep passion and conviction. I can almost feel the jo y, the anguish, te pleasure, the pain that you expressed in your poetry. I think I like "His Back" the best. I can relate to the range

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
