That Day

  • today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday

That Day

The end and the begin at the same time

Aww the youth and the beauty

Coming  alive and dying

Look at it…It’s you, it’s me

Aren’t we grand

Scroll and feel the feelings

They pulsate through you

Forever images

Stories clearly in focus and others in the background

Smiling that day when….

A big blue was the only witness to a last kiss

A cat meowed in the back seat as goodbye sang a bittersweet song

Burning  familiar sun of the west

Wet comforting warmth of the south

Embarking on tomorrow, fearless and terrified

Thirty thousand feet and six thousand miles, a breath in space

Embroidered and embraced into the utterly unknown and centuries old world

Juxtaposed with the young and adventurous open hearted  and me

Living the wonders of life

All captured by the every present lens

My story… What is your tale

Stares penetrate from the glowing light of a screen

Journeys by there and here

Experiences never to be left behind

That day you felt them

That day they felt you

Relationships onyx strong

Firmly taking in sites only a wise few every imagine

Images slams you in to the moments gone by

Images you  run from

Some you revel in

The past it all is

Images ……

Surrounds us and grabs us my our hearts or our throats

Looking back I am torn

What is gone or what is to come

The joy, oh the elation

The known and unknown

Novel and so comfortable but unfamiliar

That day, abandon is our solace

Today you gaze up on yesterday

Complete pleasure or agony you find

Yet, That day you see and feel

This is that day…..Timeless

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
