    The needles sting 6-9-04

     Since you've gone all I feel is pain
    like a homeless person 
    out standing in the rain
    cold wet and shaking
    with no one left who cares

    Left alone to sleep in doorways
    at the bottom of stairs
    eating out of dumpsters
    picking up pop cans

    No one left to care for me 
    or even hold my hand
    all alone and scared of life
    all alone and hurting

    Wanting just one thing
    to escape from this life and all it's pain
    to feel the needles sting.

    when there is no further to sink and life really sucks, we draw survival from within. to feel this abandoned in life from a failed rellationship is not uncommon. it's in recovery phase that we learn and grow, or it's lights out forever. piercing words usterry. great analogy of pain.
