The Poet Connection

The Poet Connection

We poets, your tangible mirror,
our comments, your literal reflection.
Listen not to one's own self doubt,
less perfect is nearest perfection.
True beauty humbly cocoons itself,
spurious form of protection.
In reality opinions matter not,
merely one's intimate rejection.
Love your unique imperfect self,
give birth, apparitional resurrection.
Honesty, The Golden Rule on site,
here at The Poet Connection.

I like how descripive the words you chose were, i would've like a little more of a imaginative feel to it...It could have used some more creativity...but none the less Great poem...

absolutely astounding! thank you for your wonderful comments as well.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
