CHRIST’S COMPASSION

A man walking in the hills comes to an open rock ledge.

Just off the ledge that overlooked a vast valley a bright white light yet very soft appeared and the throne of God appeared with Christ seated upon it.

The man fell to his face, arms out stretched, fingers reaching out then clinching back in to a fist and spoke

 “Lord do you know me.”

 “Yes,” said the Lord.”

“Lord do you know my heart’s desire to serve you, and fight in your army.”

 “Yes,” said the Lord.

The man wrose to one knee, head hung low, fists at his side pressed firmly on the ground.

“Lord do you know what I say, what I think and what I do.”

 “Yes.” said the Lord.

The man’s head hung even lower and a huge sigh came out of him.

Lord the man said with despair deep with in his voice, “Do you know how far I have fallen.”

 “Yes,” said the Lord.

The man said “Bless it be the Lord, Son of God, I am that I am, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. I am so very sorry for how deeply I disappointed you.”

The man stood up, head still hung so low, he turns and walks away.

Christ stood and walked onto the ledge pausing a moment, He leaves the Glory behind.

Compassion filled Christ as He watched the man walking away.

Then Christ went after his son.

I read this poem and reread it and what came to my mind; I know not why.......is a ceramic open book about 5 x 6......a dear friend gave to me. I keep it on top of my microwave and read it every time I use the microwave or dusting and cleaning it. Let me share with you, how it reads: Touched by an Angel and a hovering white eagle over it......and on the other side to the left.... it reads No mistake you've ever made is ever bigger than God's power to fix it. Thanks for reminding me and God bless you and may you carry out intentions that bring you joy and bliss. Amen
