    Deep Love

I love you to the depths of my soul.
If you ask me why – I surely don’t know.
But, I ‘m surrounded by your memory – every night and every day.
It follows me everywhere – what can I say?

The way that you held me, the magic of your kiss.
I’m drowning in the loss of all this.
The way that you pierced me.
    You made me feel whole.
You touched places I’d forgotten about.
    You awakened my soul.

You made my pulse race. You quickened my heart.
I should have followed my first instinct.
I should have run from the start.

For then I would not be feeling this pain.
All of these memories driving me insane!
I would not feel this need to love you again!!!

    that was incredible

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
