    Missing You

I close my eyes, I see you – I can almost feel your touch.
I think about all the dreams we had for both of us.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder –
But it only makes me sad and makes me wonder?
    Is your love still true?
Do you miss me like I miss you?
Do you dream about me when you lay down at night?
Do you ever worry about me and wonder if I’m alright?
When you close your eyes do you see my smile?
Do I cross your mind often or just once in a while?
I dream about you and I miss you so much.
I wake up my body trembling, craving your touch.
My memories are filled with pictures of all our yesterdays.
I can only hope and pray, we will fill the future with new ones someday!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
