    Poem Commentary

    Sometimes dreaming is not a bad thing. A balance of reality and dreams are important to be happy in life. Thanks to a question asked of me, I realized that my dreams need to be put on the front burner and not on the back burner. Thanks Mr Poet, aka Michael...........for reminding me to dream.

    Dreaming.........Once Again

     My dreams were put on the back burner for many years,
    They evaporated because of situations and because of my own fears.

    How silly it was to me
    To reach out, for what seemed an impossibility.

    I regret nothing in my life,
    Not the happiness, nor the strife.

    What has made me the person I am today,
    Are the experiences that came my way.

    The importance of dreaming was pointed out to me,
    Through the words of a friend in his poetry.

    New dreams now are important to me.
    They shall not evaporate or be an impossibility.

    Thank you for the words pointed out to me,
    From your own thoughts and words in poetry.

    I shall start dreaming.... once again,
    And continue to dream until the very end.

    Yes, this is just so true of life. Starting out with the dreams that at times evaporates. Great write with inspiration. I love the ending! Hugz

    Dreams are important, both those of future hopes and those that reveal the inner self. As we dream our unconscious mind connects us to the Jungian Collect Unconsious and there we find ideas, connections, hope and freedom to be all we can be. This helps us to mold our hopes and aspirations for the future. Love, peace and feedom, Olan.

    that was wonderful dear, yes one should always cherish and remember their dreams especially if they are good ones and ones that bring back the memories of lost loves that are no longer with us in the mortal earth.........let your dreams loose dear and find that special power as I have to write memorable poems to last a life time.........wonderful poem dear with you true emotions flowing so well in your rhythm and rhyme.......thanks for the wonderful read...love asha

    Thanks asha. Whether asleep or awake my dreams will now be given the attention they deserve. In reality when I had a dream about self-doubt, my mother, so assuring, loving, and encouraging would appear in my dream.I drew strength from her memories. In my wakened state, my goals in life started out by having an unattainable dream, or wish. I've been a caretaker of everybody in my family but myself for years. That is now in the process of stopping. lol

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
