    Just feeling................

    So Many Yesterdays

     So many yesterdays we all have had. But, yesterday is gone, with the good and the bad.

    I cannot look back with regret and sorrow. For I have the gift of love and life to last me if I'm here tomorrow.

    Tomorrow is promised to nobody in this life. So learn from yesterday, the lessons of joy and of strife.

    Open your heart to receive the blessings that are there for you. Your blessings will help you make it through.

    Cherish the good, endure the bad. But, never stop feeling, even when you feel sad.

    When this life is through, know eternity remains. For now, in your heart your blessings remain.

    So many yesterdays, we all have had. But, yesterday is gone, with the good and the bad.

    Super Angel, this is good poetry, written in beautiful words, expressing gracious thoughts. // I felt pleasure from the music of the poem. Only when I finished and looked back, with an analytical eye rather than as a lover of poetry, did I notice your ecellent rhyming. It was so perfect and unforced, that the first time I only heard the charm of its music, without noticing the skillful technique that made it. Once again, you are using that way I love so much from Poe, of having rhymes within lines. Once again, you show a great command of rhyming, using rhymes does not restrain you from saying exactly what you want to say. Such easy grace, in your employment of rhymes, and in your choice of words. // You dress these wise thoughts in fresh language, and make them sparkle. // I like the way you took the first line and repeated it as the last line. Yet, by the time I got to the last line, all the intervening lines that I had read, with all their meanings, had changed and added to the meaning of that line. // A great poem, by a great poet. // // I would think so, and say so, even if it were listed as anonymous. But knowing that it comes from my Super Angel makes it an even greater joy to read, as I see her inner beauty. Youor inner beauty. // Thank you // Love, // --Michael LP, Mr. Poet

    Thank you for such gracious comments. I guess I have my dear mother to thank for the love of words and writing. As I look back, as a child I was always encouraged to find what I love and do it best.. Expressing my feeling through writing is the only way I can express myself. lol
