From a Distance

From a distance now I see you, so far away you stand,
With enemies around you, who say you're on their land.

I've walked your stonefilled streets, and see your love of life,
And my heart is filled with sorrow, as your terrorized day and night.

My prayers are with you always, you are a beacon in the night,
For the God who loves His people, will defend you with His might.

So look up and hear His calling, Oh Israel thou art loved,
And His mercy will sustain you,

Oh Israel His beloved.
