I Can't Believe Its You

Tense at first
but anticipating the best.
Almost immediate,
you put my mind to rest.
A weekend spent
in each other's arms
put aside
all feeling of alarm.
I had forgotten
how wonderful love felt.
You looked at me.
The cards were dealt.
I never imagined
what we'd go through.
I still can't believe
its really you.

Aww... An upbeat, personal write. I loved it! Very well written, and short, sweet, and to the point. Very cute! Great write. A ten from me.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
