    I Can't Believe Its You

     Tense at first
    but anticipating the best.
    Almost immediate,
    you put my mind to rest.
    A weekend spent
    in each other's arms
    put aside
    all feeling of alarm.
    I had forgotten
    how wonderful love felt.
    You looked at me.
    The cards were dealt.
    I never imagined
    what we'd go through.
    I still can't believe
    its really you.
