    Miles Apart

Hundreds and hundreds of miles apart
Tear at the soul and break the heart
Relentless to such a helpless sorrow
Not willing to face another tomorrow

Struggling to grasp the lonely night
Alone again in this vicious fight
A whirlwind of lies of memories such
Of soft kisses and a gentle touch

A deceitful promise of sacred trust
ashes upon ashes and dust to dust
Breaking the powerful hold of your stare
Knowing that there will be nothing there

Embracing the thought of souls devine
Love that will stand the test of time
Holding on to knowing you cherish the thought
Of just stumbling on to the love that you sought

Again once you find that one special one
How do you deal when all is done
When fate takes you hundreds of miles apart
Bruising the soul and breaking the heart

Flawless. Touching, I can feel those words very deeply.

Don't let the distance fool ya dear heart, love has no distance.

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.
