My Love

My Love

From the moment I gazed into your eyes of blue,

My heart and soul leapt for the beauty of you.

Your sweet smile lifted my soul in pure abound,

Your skin so smooth it’s a pleasure to be around.

To hold you in my arms is a heavenly bliss,

Your lips like cherries so divinely sweet to kiss.

Your caress is like an angel so soft and tender,

Your touch is that it makes my heart surrender.

In a loving embrace your arms me you capture,

My soul delights in every moment it is rapture.

Our souls entwine, it’s like we become as one,

Our lives merge as in heaven it is sealed and done.

The bliss of your presence is all I ever seek,

Your demeanour is always ever so meek.

Like an angel in my arms all you seek is love,

We go together like a hand and a glove.

Our bodies entwine in joyous rapture repose,

I crave your love is it too much to suppose.

I cherish the moments we are together,

My hope and dream is they will last forever.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
