TODAY I'LL BE SELFISH

I feel as though I am a float
my anchor just unleashed
Today I lost a part of me
I had no way to cease

I never felt so helpless
no analyzing lists
My mind & Soul & heart entwined

The fear of the unknown
my world is in surreal
I cannot comprehend
to me it's all unreal

I'm watching a head on collision
I know it's far too late
To take steps back into time

I lost the one whom let me know
that I was worth his care
He left me here all alone
I find this so unfair

I know with time I'll find myself
I'll learn new ways to live
Remembering all the love
I might in time forgive

My mind and voice are muted
physically I'm weak

I feel no need to seek

tomorrow an abyss
I'm lost in endless space

An emptiness I've never known

I've been denied and filled with lies

How could he go without me
