    yesterday

     it's been a long time
    am i that far behind
    my old Friends
    are they gaining
    on their dreams
    are they running
    out of time
    i can't say that i've found mine
    yesterday has been kind
    sometimes i stay there awhile
    tomorrow will happen
    when it happens
    it's not the best way
    but i still like surprises
    running on empty
    still pushing the limit
    if only in my mind
    haven't caused
    any train wrecks
    lately
    but there is still time
    i'm always just one dream away
    from yesterday

    They say that hindsight is 20/20 but its a bitch when you have to wear cheaters to see even that.

    Looking ahead while standing backwards. And interesting viewpoint of the present.There's definitely no train wrecks there, unless you had one yesterday in your dream for today. :-) Then again tomorrow is a can of worms. Best go fishin'. A poet friend//RH Peat
