    3 Months, 8 Days

I can’t recall how this began
For all I know now is pain
    Because of that man

Never once did my feelings wan
And never again shall I be sane
I can’t recall how this began

    My joy has grief outran
Since my heart has been slain
    Because of that man

Since my chest’s fire I will no longer fan
I doubt my heart I will regain
I don’t recall how this began

I’ve placed love on a ban
And view it only with disdain
    Because of that man

My future I shall carefully scan
To avoid the burning and adoring rain
I can’t recall how this began
    Because of that man
