    Whiplash

    Energy pulses in the air
    The flashing lights blind me
I watch the guy with the swooping hair
    As he screams

    All around, people swirl
    Thrashing to the steady beat
    The world is a whirl
As I join in the violent trance

    My body twists and jerks
    To the glorious sound
    My mind no longer works
    The music leads me astray

    We all flail about
    Band and crowd alike
    We all black out
    Everything before

    The music is enchanting
    Then falls to a close
    We are left panting
As the group leaves the stage
