    • Learning that deliverance doesn't come without a birthing shroud...

    Bondage

    Sometimes I feel so ---
    bound.
    Restricted from true freedom
    by responsibility.
    Moral, emotional,
    intellectual bondage.

    Caged,
    And in a pace...
    Energy, drive
And I am restricted in my efforts
    to place it.

    A mind,
    Filled to capacity
    even in sleep,
    Clips off too much energy
    to be contained.
Responsibility claims her share of me,
And time itself - a dwarf,
As there is only so much time
    to accomodate the ongoing
    process of learning
That I want to take in
    all at once.

    Restless, the spirit---
    An awareness
    That encompasses challenges
    that touch on anything new...
Yet the roads are too numbered
    to travel,
    And the bondage too binding
    to break...

On impluse she shared taboo back seat The quicky sex made her night complete But as she pursues the free and wild, Grandma's had to raise her child. Luv to you both for confessing to inner restlessness, but I rest my case. Oh, that's right, someone had to play the fool, too bad for Grandma. What was I thinking?

Impulsivity is overrated. It is the self-disciplined that keep the world together. Yet, you have touched on the delicate balance of it all. Without the possiiblity of a sudden freeing impulse, life would degenerate into slavery to the norm.

Had to read your poetry before I close shop today. You said this well and it is the beast that we live with. Sally

Human conditionings, expectations coupled with responsibilities can certainly dominate time. As if we really have very much time left for ourselves to express our freedom the way we need, the way we want. I'd to go against the grain to discover my inner peace. Great write.

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.
