    Laying Here

    Laying here beside you,
I know where I want to be.

    Hearing your heartbeat,
    I know where I belong.

Feeling your warmth on my bare skin,
I know where my future leads.

    Laying here beside you,
    Arms wrapped ever so tightly,
    I know I am safe.

Feeling your chest as you breathe,
I know you are the one,
Who will forever own this heart.

    Laying here beside you,
    Holding each other tight,
I know the love is still here.

    Feeling your lips against mine,
A warmth that engulfs my soul,
    I know you still care.

    Feeling your hand within mine,
I know we are meant to be.

    Laying here beside you,
I know we can be again.

    Laying here beside you,
I love you more than ever before.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
