    Poem Commentary

Written for my deceased fiancee, Shane Lubbers, who always gives me strength.

    Memory

Laying here in an empty bed,
Your memory creeps into my mind.
Memories that hurts and causes tears.
Speaking of you makes the memories intestify.
Your smile, that would brighten even the darkest of days.
Your touch, that would warm from the inside out.
Your laughter, that would make the sadest days good.
Your compassion, that would make any one second guess themselves.
Your voice, that would make any girl weak.
You could have had anyone yet you chose me.
Our time together was cut short,
But the time shared never to be forgotten.
The love we shared never to be taken for granted.
    The lessons learned never forgotten.
    Memories that warms the heart.
Knowing you are still with me allows me to carry on.
Knoledge of knowin in my heart you will forever stay.
    My forever love.
When I begin to question my life, your voice can be heard.
Always giving me encouragement to continue.
Now I have a new love and when I think about quitting,
You give me the strength to push forward.
Though I've found this new love,
You are still the one helping me push through all the drama.
You truely are my guardian angel.
Without you I know not what I would do.
    Thank you for loving me,
Thank you for leading me to my new love.
Thank you for being my forever love.
