    Veteran's

Today is the day we remember all those who have served for our country.
Your lives were taken in the name of freedom.
Yet here in our Country our freedoms are being taken away.
Some of you died in foreign lands,
Some of you have never been found.
No matter how you were taken your life has not been forgotten.
We may not know all your names,
But we know why you died.
Some of your names are on walls,
    Some on graves.
    Yet some are still unknown.
To those who have served and those serving,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Your sacrifice allows us to live free,
Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
    Thank you all.

Another very nice poem from a talented young lady. We should remember our vetrans and celebrate each day the freedoms we enjoy in this great country of ours. A nice read for me.

As awar veteran myself I can certainly the feelings expressed in your poem it is warm and heartfelt and I believe you are a superior talent.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
