    LIVE FROM THE PULPIT

Standing there with much to say,
    The audience in your hand,
Clinging to the Word you relay,
    We waited for direction.

    He preached unto my soul.
    The message was penetrating,
    Direct, and somewhat bold.

    I leave with tickled ears.
I leave better than I came.
    Improved, effective, insightful;
    Temporary Change.

    Comedy,
    Tragedy,
    Major characters with issues,
Some Minor characters with them too.

All performed from one ancient script,
Written by The Author and Finisher,
    Designed for me and you.

You sound like a preacher at times. Are you? Your writing is very God- and church-oriented. Great topics. You can't go wrong there. This was another good one ;-)

Thank you for commenting on my poems. I am indeed a man of the cloth, but I use poetry as my Pulpit.

Inspired by God and well written. Great work.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
