    OUT OF THE BIBLE BELT

    The belt was placed so tight that the individual had trouble with his righteous walk.

    A belt designed to hold up the values and teachings of this Christian;

    Residing and Ministering in a particular region deemed more holy than most.

    Got bold and declared the land to be special enough to prevent that ever- present sin.

    Simply! By Residing and Ministering in a particular region deemed more holy than most?

    Recognized for the Southern Baptist that tightened their belts in support of black slavery-

    Whom broke away to form a Convention of like followers and believers of such things.

    Confused with their practice of Christianity, and holding to a creed without wavering-

    Abusive Christian Philosophy joined in marriage with Social and Political Conservatism.

    In the latter days of history, the Belt was loosened to be much more inclusive-

    Producing ministry efforts that led to progressive kingdom building and real change.

    A belt that was once restricted so tight, and held to be a wonderful Southern exclusive-

    Now leading the way in the New Crusades, and effectively causing global change!

    Television evangelist speaking with that bold, unique, slow southern draw-

    Sowing that good seed, just for a World-Wide captive audience to take- in and see.

    Ordained by God to carry a message of repentance, and delivering it all so raw-

    Took that gospel Out of The Bible Belt, and gave it to you and me.

    Great poetic history, expressed in a written voice of conviction. I have lived int the Bible Belt and experienced the good, the bad, the ugly - and the miracles of good vs evil, so I can say that I feel this as you took a difficult subject matter and made it your own.. Good Job, keep expressing!
