My Self Indulgent Cycosses

My Self Indulgent Cycosses

I've been thinking my life away.
Passing the time
with self indulgent excuses
about what should be
not what happened.
Never learning from
my mistakes,
only pushing them to the background,
not copping with what's really wrong.

If I sat before you now
would you see me for who I am
not who I used to be?
I've been thinking my life away,
and I realized in my self indulgence
I pushed you not to stay.
Verbal and mean we both could be,
but I know in my heart of hearts
I have to prove my love to you
and then you'll see.

Please just come back to me!
