    Unavoidable

     The pulsating shadows,
    beyond the end,
    give endless doubt.
    The stagnance of inevitability
    causes an air of solitude,
    and our empathy
    creates maladaptive behavior.
    The repetitive motion
    lulls us into false security.
    The hypnotic sound of the dripping
    echoes in the chasm of my mind.
    The screams of the fluttering wings
    bound throughout eternity.
    Purity falling through existence
    soothes tremoring valleys.
    Divorced from reality,
    we lose our senses.
    Consciousness drifts
    and space melts.
