You Just Happened to Meet

You Just Happened to Meet

You just happened to meet

One day

Not knowing it would turn into

 A mistake

It probably started with one

Little something that was said

Not hearing the impact

That it might have

You probably thought

We’ll just hold hands

Deciding to maybe give it a chance

Coincidentally you were thrown together

Not realizing the opportunity

May ruin someone else’s forever

It probably took on a life of its’ own

Without warning it took a turn

Not seeing the signs that

Casual was gone

You probably thought

Well we’re just being nice

But eventually giving into the fight

It was probably just a simple kiss

A small touch of the lips

Not feeling the danger in one touch of a

Fingertip

The things it would break

One day

You will probably see

You just happened to meet

And potentially changed everything

Midnight Poet can definitely relate to this one! Feels it descibes his relationship with his wife.

Glad you connected with it!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
