    A Beautiful Light House

    A beautiful Light house
    A symbol of hope
    The lost see your light
    And know they can cope

    Your lights shine down
    From the cliffs to the shore
    And ships see the rocks
    And they're in trouble no more

    Just like a soul lost on life's sea
    God shines his light from people
    like you and people like me
    So be ready and waiting
    arms open wide

    To bring all lost souls
    to rest by God's side
    The light house is cleaned
    and made ready each day
    Just like god's children
    as they kneel and pray
    So every day be ready to
    shine and to serve the lord
    The best way you can find

    break from the A, B format it helps to let your ideas flow better. Some examples of writing poems in a pattern such as the "Caged Bird" help to exemplify the meaning. That and poems don't need to rhyme.
